IOI Corporation Berhad. The Group's principal activities are the processing, cultivating and trading of oil palm and rubber, property development and investment and the operation of plantation. Other activities include investment holding; provision of landscape, building, maintenance, engineering, construction, golf, recreational club, hotel and hospitality services; sale of ornamental plants and turfing grass; manufacturing and distribution of industrial and medical gases and gas ancillary equipment; hotel and resort development; acting as a general contractor; operation of jetty; manufacture of fatty acids, glycerine, soap noodles and metallic stearates; trading in esters; bulk cargo warehousing and management of collection of service charges. The Group operates substantially in Malaysia. Manufacturing accounted for 62% of fiscal 2002 revenues; property development, 22%; plantation, 10%; property investment, 3% and non-segment item, 3%.
